Xenex has completed the creation of the front and back of the house, retail area, and kitchen at the prestigious Cova Astir Marina. This project represents the pinnacle of collaboration and innovation and is delivered in three meticulously planned stages. Xenex brought the endeavor to life with the support of industry-leading partners Olis, Meiko, Gamko, Irinox, Convotherm, Pavailler, and Ciam—each contributing their expertise to shape a world-class facility.
Stage 1: Front of house creation
The first phase focused on designing and equipping the front of the house, the critical interface between Cova Astir Marina and its high-end clientele. Xenex crafted a contemporary, inviting environment that reflects the brand's elegance while maintaining functionality and efficiency. Partnering with Ciam, renowned for their precision in display solutions, Xenex installed bespoke display cases that blend seamlessly into the design, ensuring products are presented most appealingly. For the bar equipment, a focal point of the iconic pastry shop, Xenex worked closely with Gamko– the expert in professional refrigeration – to equip the space with advanced cooling systems and ensure that products are kept at ideal temperatures. In both cases, the layout was designed to enhance the customer experience and ensure a smooth flow of movement and an aesthetic that reflects the luxurious environment of Astir Marina.
Stage 2: Back-of-house development
In the second phase, Xenex focused on the back of the house, a space critical for maintaining seamless service delivery. This area was designed to maximize staff efficiency and workflow. Meiko, a leader in warewashing technology, contributed state-of-the-art dishwashing solutions that prioritize hygiene and energy efficiency. Every inch of the back-of-house area was tailored to ensure optimal functionality, with space-saving storage and strategically placed equipment enabling staff to perform their roles without disruption and supporting the high standards Cova Astir Marina is known for.
Stage 3: Kitchen construction
The project's final and perhaps most intricate phase was creating the kitchen, the heart of the facility. Xenex, understanding the critical importance of a well-designed kitchen for functionality and food quality, collaborated with multiple partners to deliver an excellent culinary environment.
Olis, known for its high-performance cooking equipment, supplied top-tier ranges and cooking systems that form the backbone of the kitchen. Irinox provided rapid blast chillers, which are essential for maintaining food safety and ensuring efficient service during peak times. Convotherm installed state-of-the-art combi ovens, allowing chefs to deliver precise, versatile, high-volume cooking efficiently.
Pavailler contributed specialized bakery ovens and proofing systems for the bakery section, ensuring Cova Astir Marina could offer freshly baked goods prepared on-site. The layout was meticulously planned to ensure that each kitchen section –preparation, cooking, and baking– operated smoothly, allowing the culinary team to work efficiently.
The successful completion of this project is a testament to Xenex's expertise in managing unique projects at every stage of their execution. It highlights Xenex's commitment to quality and innovation – essential elements for creating a project with strict specifications like Cova Astir Marina's.
