When Divani Apollon management asked Xenex to help modernise the hotel’s laundry department, we undertook a very challenging scope. The aim was to increase the laundry’s production capacity while lowering the operation cost. Divani Apollon laundry consisted of very old technology large sized machinery. Due to the existing building structure, the extraction of old machinery and entry of new one was extremely challenging.
Divani Apollon belongs to Divani Collection and is located on the South Coast of Athens area in Vouliagmeni. It can accommodate up to 650 hotel guests and it operated one of the largest spa and thalassotherapy centers in Greece. The hotel also has a lot of banquet and conference events.
The total daily laundry production capacity can go up to 3,5 tons of linen. After completing our research together with hotel staff, we concluded that the best solution was using Kannegiesser’s high end equipment. Specifically the equipment included a 110kg washer extractor, a tumble dryer, an ironing line and a towel folding machine.
The implementation was perfect; the hotel staff worked very efficiently with our technicians who completed the installation and startup of the new machinery as planned. Divani Apollon runs now one of the most advance hotel laundries with significant production increase and low energy, water and chemical consumption.
